Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, & Child Health

Project Title: Benin Private Sector Health Partnership Activity

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Benin Private Sector Health Partnership Activity's goal is to strengthen Beninese capacity to effectively manage the provision of reproductive, maternal, newborn and child health (RMNCH) services and increase their use.

The project is working to accomplish this through: expanding volume of quality, high-impact RMNCH services delivered by private sector providers; increasing availability of affordable, quality health products through private sector channels; strengthening public-private engagement to promote universal RMNCH outcomes; ensuring innovative, successful, private sector models are identified, tested, and applied.

Abt Associates is the prime contractor under this activity. MCDI is serving as the technical lead on quality assurance and the sign-up/registration of private health providers. This includes training and capacity building, supportive supervision, registration, licensing and accreditation activities of private health providers. MCDI also has key experts in pharmaceutical supply chain and marketing.
