Project Title: Improving Maternal and Neonatal Health in Myanmar
In June 2016, the Improving Myanmar Maternal and Neonatal Health Pilot was officially launched through the support of Medical Care Development, Inc. (MCD). This project aims to complement the efforts of the Ministry of Health of Myanmar, particularly the Women and Child Health Development division, which has worked to achieve maternal and child health-related Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3, which aims to ensure healthy lives and promoting well-being for all, regardless of age.
The Improving Maternal and Neonatal Health project seeks to directly address two primary contributors to the target population’s overall health status: malaria and cervical cancer.
